US Open Snowboard Championship Slopestyle Battle 2011 - Willet vs. McMorris Eric Willet and Mark McMorris battle it out in the last runs of the Slopestyle.
Before that Eric Willet gives us the low-down on the next day's upcomng US Open Slopestyle Comp and gives a shout out to his home mountain of Breckenridge, CO. This summer he plans to swing through Windell's, Camp of Champions, and hopefully New Zealand. He's on an Omatic Snowboard and got his start competing in USASA.
Mark McMorris has been riding for Burton since October and stunned the world last week by landing the first backside triple cork 1440 trick at a TransWorld Snowboarding shoot, called "The Park Session," at Snowmass, Colo., on March 2, 2011. Granite Gorge, Roxbury, New Hampshire, 5 miles from Keene, knows how to throw down a party. This 2nd annual Mountain of Steez all day and all night party had 20 snowboard product sponsors, 3 or 4 contests on snow, outdoor food, a live band in the Beer Garden tent, swag tosses, freeriding in the park AND the usual, night riding and snow tubing. Late party at Lab 'n Lager and the Railroad in Keene, and a secret lakeside location, complete with blind-folded shuttle bus ride. Also, at the end of the vid hear the secret trail we found after riding all day at GG.

 Switch Academy - Learning Tricks at Mountain Creek

Switch Academy at Mountain Creek is the coolest concept. Drop-in freestyle lessons for learning tricks to use in the big terrain parks at South Peak or the beginner park at Vernon Peak.
Here Lauren takes a lesson with Mountain Creek Terrain Park Instructor and Ambassador Sal Good and attempts her first 180. By the end of the sesh she's done it backside, and switch, and the ollie is coming right along too. It's on the vid! Next stop, 360, and getting a little more air.
We interview Homer, Head of Operations at South Peak about Switch Academy and the Parks that currently have 57 features and are switched up every two weeks. And we catch some freestyle high fashion happening downstairs.

Friday night at Mountain Creek, and it's all about the dancing! First we meet Sal Good to talk about our lesson tomorrow at Switch Academy, then we meet his crew, TJ Santana, Jeff, Tory, and Cam.
